The Friends of Pacific Beach Elementaries’ Parents Derby Date Night and Auction is set for Friday, April 26 at the Soledad Club from 5 to 10 p.m. Come bet on your favorite horses in a racing event with six real historical horse races. The event will feature food, drinks and silent auction with 100 percent of auction proceeds going to the school. Tickets are $25.   KATE SESSIONS ELEMENTARY
The Kate Sessions annual auction event is set for Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m. at the Mission Bay Yacht Club. “Passport to the Islands” is the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year and proceeds go to continue the school’s art, music, Spanish and Library programs. On Friday, March 22, Crown Point Junior Music Academy celebrated its 65th anniversary with a parade, a music assembly and carnival. District 2 City Councilman Kevin Faulconer, San Diego Unified School District board member Scott Barnett and many alumni from as far back as 1948 joined the festivities, which also included a silent auction fundraiser.   MISSION BAY CLUSTER
