
• On Monday, March 7 from 8 to 10 a.m., Pacific Beach Middle School (PBMS) will host a school tour beginning in the media center/library. For those who want to learn more about the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at PBMS and all the exciting opportunities for an incoming middle schooler, school tour, “a day in the life” of a PBMS student will be offered. Guests will meet administrators, learn about IB, meet teachers and see students in action in class. Student are also welcome to attend this informative tour. • Ten members from the Mission Bay High School Robotics Club will be participating in the BOTBALL Educational Robotics Program Tournament hosted by the University of San Diego on March 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. BOTBALL engages middle- and high- school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition based on national science education standards. By designing, building, programming and documenting robots, students use science, engineering, technology, math and writing skills in a hands-on project competition that challenges and inspires future engineers and scientists. • Wednesday, March 23, Mossy Ford will be teaming with Mission Bay High School for a very unique fundraiser. Anyone 18 years or older can come to Mission Bay High School between noon and 7 p.m. and take a short test drive in any vehicle around a marked area in the parking lot. Mossy Ford will donate $20 to the school for each test drive. Extended test drives will be available, if desired, but there is no obligation to purchase a car. The entire community is welcome to attend and participants must have a valid driver’s license and be 18 years or older. — Jennifer Tandy
