The Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church is “celebrating art” with their fourth annual art show on March 18. The show will allow Point Loma’s artists to display their work in a local setting.
“We want to focus on the talent of the artists, but then we also want to provide a venue for fellowship with those artist. It was really sort of a community outreach and to celebrate the talent that is in our local community,” said Martha Stauderman, chairwoman for the event, Celebrating Art.
The art show will feature about 40 artists from the Point Loma area, most of whom will be present at the show to meet and talk with attendees. The featured art will include canvas work as well as sculpture and photography.
Attendees will have the chance to purchase some of the displayed art, either straight from the artists or through the silent auction that will accompany the show. The proceeds from the silent auction will contribute to four of the church’s current mission projects.
Admission to Celebrating Art is free and refreshments will be provided. The show will be open from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18. The Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church is located at 2128 Chatsworth Blvd. For more information call (619) 224-3155.
