Scripps Sleep Center wakes up to AASM
In recognition of its significance as a resource to the community and its potential to provide the highest-quality care for patients suffering from sleep disorders, Scripps Clinic Sleep Center, 10666 N. Torrey Pines Road, recently received accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
AASM is a professional medical society for all health care providers in the field of sleep medicine. The organization’s accreditation is only attained by sleep centers that meet or exceed all of its standards for health care. The process involves a detailed inspection of a center’s facility, including its testing procedures, patient contact and physician training. In addition, the facility must have a clear plan to positively influence medical care in the community that it serves. According to AASM, Scripps Clinic Sleep Center has attained all of these standards.
“We’re just very proud of our entire staff,” said Lawrence Kline, director of the Scripps Clinic Sleep Center. “Our sleep center has become one of the premiere centers in the state of California.”
