StepStone Group names managing director
Following the founding principle of the StepStone Group to have a diverse collection of professionals on the team, the group announced Jaime Guzman-Fournier as a managing director. The group, launched in 2007 at 8910 University Centre Lane, Suite 615, and formerly known as Leucadia Capital Partners, offers customized private equity investment management and advisory services to institutional clients.
Guzman-Fournier, 36, will be a senior member of the diligence and research team, which focuses on emerging and small to mid-size market funds. He will join managing director Jose Fernandez.
Prior to his new position, Guzman-Fournier was the head of the United States Government’s Small Business Investment Company (SBIC), where he managed a staff of more than 75 professionals, managed the investment activities and oversaw the $20 billion SBIC investment portfolio. He also was a principal with Grupo Guayacan Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and an associate at Citigroup’s Global Corporate & Investment Bank in New York.
