The 2nd-Annual North Park Music Fest is Saturday and Sunday at the neighborhood’s North Park Mini Park and surrounding streets. The all-ages festival has three performance stages with 40 músicaal acts overall, featuring a variety of genres including indie, pop rock, hip hop, world música, blues, spoken word, and DJs. General admission is $45 each day, and a two-day general admission pass is $60. Tickets are available at www.northparkmusicfest.org.
More than 15 local food vendors will be a part of the festival, as well as local craft breweries. Family-friendly interactive experiences include stilt walkers, magicians, circus-type performers, and a photo booth.
ArtReach partnered with Calle principal del parque norte to host a fundraiser during the annual festival. This fundraiser features over 60 vinyl records that were transformed into art by local artists. The art will be displayed and sold during the two day music festival on May 27th and 28th. Proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit ArtReach’s programs for young people that do not otherwise have access to visual arts opportunities.
North Park Mini Park and surrounding streets will be transformed into a music venue, art gallery, and food festival all rolled into one. So call your friends, bring your kids, and come listen to some of Southern California’s raddest bands in the heart of San Diego’s most eclectic neighborhood.
