All City of San Diego administrative offices will be closed on Friday, March 31, 2023, for César Chávez Day.

Recolección y eliminación de basura 

Basura en la acera, materiales reciclables y desechos de jardín will occur as normal for customers serviced by the City’s Environmental Services Department. Residents not serviced by the Environmental Services Department should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules.

El Vertedero de Miramar, vegetación y Centro de reciclaje will be open. The container sales office will be closed.

Permisos e Inspecciones

Development Services Department Virtual Counter appointments and inspection services will be closed. All other online services, including submitting new project applications, resubmittals and payments will be available by visiting sandiego.gov/DSD.

Recreational Activities 

Torrey Pines, Balboa Park and Mission Bay cursos de golf will be open for regular play. Normal Friday rates will apply.

The Mission Trails Regional Park and its Visitor Center, Tecolote Canyon Natural Park and all City skate parks will be open. The Tecolote Canyon Nature Center will be closed.

Todos los edificios públicos de parque balboa will be closed. This includes the Municipal Gym, Morley Field and Balboa Park Activity Center. Check with other individual museums and attractions for their holiday schedules.

Barrett, Hodges, and Lower and Upper Otay reservoirs will be closed. All other City reservoirs will be open during regular hours. Chollas Lake Park will be open.

Estacionamiento meters, time restrictions for parking on streets, yellow zones and posted street sweeping routes within the City of San Diego will not be enforced. All other parking violations will be enforced. Parking rules on Port of San Diego property and in different cities may vary. Please read posted signage.
