The California Note Catchers has a new director.
Kayla Rodgers became the interim director of the women’s barbershop chorus in September.
The East County resident is the education coordinator of the San Diego Chorus. She received her Master’s degree in music education with a choral emphasis from Vander Cook College of Music. She has many years of singing and orchestra experience.
The chorus has already performed several concerts under the direction of Rodgers. The California Note Catchers is planning a holiday show on Monday, Dec. 12, at the La Mesa United Methodist Church, 4690 Palm Ave.
