You can bet that the community will enjoy an evening of fun and fundraising at Discover Pacific Beach’s Annual Casino Night Dinner, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Catamaran Resort Hotel, 3999 Mission Blvd.
Mayor Jerry Sanders and Councilman Kevin Faulconer will be in attendance at the Vegas-style event. Hosted by Casino Concepts, the gambling reception will feature blackjack, craps and roulette. Guests will also be treated to a gourmet-plated dinner prepared by the Catamaran chefs.
“We hope folks come along,” Discover Pacific Beach Executive Director Benjamin Nicholls said. “We’re going to have a lot of fun.”
The black tie-optional event will feature live and silent auctions to benefit Discover Pacific Beach, which donates funds throughout the year to the Pacific Beach Town Council, the Surfrider Foundation, area schools, Beachfest and other community events and organizations.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” Nicholls said. “We’re doing it in a way everyone can enjoy and celebrate the community.”
Also being celebrated, with an awards ceremony, are volunteers and contributors who have worked the past year to improve their neighborhoods. Discover Pacific Beach’s new board members will also be introduced.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from $100 to $300. Individual tickets are $50 and include dinner and 50 casino chips. Tables for eight can also be reserved for either $550 or $350, which include dinner, wine and casino chips.
