On Wednesday, July 13, crews will close southbound I-805 from I-5 to SR-52 at 9 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday. The closures are necessary for the installation of traffic monitoring systems.
During the Sorrento Valley Road/Vista Sorrento Parkway off-ramp closure, motorists will be directed to the Mira Mesa Boulevard/Vista Sorrento Parkway off-ramp.
For the northbound I-805 closures, motorists will be directed to westbound SR-52 to northbound I-5. Local traffic will be allowed to exit at Governor Drive and Nobel Drive.
During the southbound closure, motorists will be directed to southbound I-5 to eastbound SR 52 to north or southbound I-805.
Stage 1 of the I-805 North Express Lanes Project constructed one carpool lane in each direction in the median of I-805 from just north of SR-52 to just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard and a south-facing Direct Access Ramp at Carroll Canyon Road.
The construction cost for Stage 1 is about $86 million and is funded with state, federal and local sources, including the Proposition 1B State – Local Partnership Program and TransNet Extension funds.
