DOWNTOWN — Citizen Coordinates for Century 3 (C3) is inviting the public to a dialogue on the topic of whether The World Trade Center’s One Stop Homeless Care Facility is a solution to downtown homelessness or a catalyst for bigger problems. The event will be Aug. 26 from 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the Holiday Inn on the Bay, 1355 North Harbor Drive. A committee of the San Diego City Council forwarded to the full council a $31 million proposal to convert the downtown building into the one-stop service and housing center that would provide 125 beds to the homeless in addition to other services. The dialogue is open to the public and will be moderated by Brian Mainshein of the United Way. C3 is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that initiates dialogue about San Diego planning, preservation and revitalization of downtown San Diego. To register for the event visit www.c3sandiego.org, or call (858) 277-0900.
