SAN DIEGO — As the winter cold and rain wear on in San Diego, Feeding America San Diego and Ralphs Grocery Company have announced a joint effort to offer free flu shot vouchers to county residents. The vouchers, which Feeding America San Diego will make available to partner agencies for distribution to low-income residents, will be redeemable at county Ralphs locations that have a pharmacy. “Feeding America San Diego is delighted to partner with Ralphs to help protect San Diegans that may not have access to a flu shot, ” said Jennifer Gilmore, executive director of Feeding American San Diego. “With the current economy and high unemployment, it is hard for families to afford health benefits.
