POINT LOMA — The San Diego Zoo and Kids Included Together (KIT) are co-hosting the Kennedy Center’s annual Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD) conference. This is the 10th year of the event and this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA.) The conference facilitates conversation and the sharing of ideas about accessibility, disability and inclusion in the arts. Half and full day sessions are available on a range of topics from the physical accessibility of buildings to creative ways in which to raise funds for accessibility initiatives for the disabled. The zoo has worked alongside KIT on other projects that foster inclusion aspects for those with disabilities. The five day event began Aug. 25 and runs through Aug. 29 at the NTC Promenade.
