MISSION BEACH — The Girl Scouts of San Diego will clean up Belmont Park on Sept. 25. They will be assisting Safeway and its Bright Green Clean Team in an effort to clean up various public locations. The San Diego event will be the final stop for the Safeway cleaning team, whose goal is to introduce community members to Safeway’s biodegradable and eco-friendly line of cleaning supplies. This is the second year of the event. At the site, the Bright Green Clean Team will be on hand from noon to 5 p.m. to demonstrate how the products work. The Girl Scouts will be in Belmont Park cleaning from 1 to 3 p.m. On Sept. 26 the Bright Green Clean Team will be at the La Jolla Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
