The southbound Interstate 5 on-ramp at Mission Bay Drive will close for four consecutive nights beginning Sunday, April 30 for pavement work. The on-ramp will close nightly at 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday, to allow crews to install new loop detectors that help monitor traffic.
Traffic will be detoured to continue southbound on Mission Bay Drive, then left onto Clairemont Drive to the southbound I-5 on-ramp. Motorists are advised that traffic volumes in this area are high and to anticipate some delays.
