A La Jolla pilot and his father were unhurt following an emergency landing of their small plane in rural Northern Arizona. Sheriff’s deputies say the plane went down around noon May 16 near Beaver Dam north of Interstate 15. The plane, a single-engine Cessna, reportedly sustained little damage. Pilot Dylan Tobias, 20, and his father Eric, 57, were en route to La Jolla from Utah when they smelled something burning. Dylan landed the plane in the desert. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident. – Google Alerts
