LA JOLLA — Ira Flatow, science journalist and host of National Public Radio’s “Science Friday” program, will receive the 2010 Nierenberg Prize for Science in the Public Interest on Nov. 9. A brief award ceremony will be happening at the Scripps Seaside Forum of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and will be followed by a free, open-to-the-public lecture by Flatow.
