This national, name-brand tenant famous for its style of serving food on roller-skates, is coming to Pacific Beach and is scheduled to open in November of 2016, announced Tony Franco, a Pacific Beach commercial Realtor. Franco said the fast-food chain, along with a 114,000-square- foot A-1 Self Storage Facility, is expected to start construction soon at 2740 Garnet Ave. near Mission Bay Drive. This is A-1 Self Storage Facility’s 18th location and Sonic’s seventh store opening up in the San Diego market. “This is the first time in many years that a national name-brand tenant is opening for business in Pacific Beach,” Franco said, noting that, recently, national tenants such as Carl’s Jr and Panda Express “are being out-negotiated by local fast-food Mexican restaurants in Pacific Beach.”
