
From Thursday Dec. 07 through Monday, Dec. 11, there have been a total of five arson fires in a relatively small area of Ocean Beach. The five cases were reported as follows: 4400 Orchard Ave.; 4300 Newport Ave.; 4400 Newport Ave.;
4400 Santa Cruz Ave.; and
4509 Muir Ave. In all five cases, the fires occurred in the alley and were a result of an unknown person(s) lighting various items of debris and other combustible materials on fire. All of the fires have occurred at night and there is no suspect information at this time.
