
A man burst through the back door and robbed employees at a popular La Jolla restaurant the evening of May 9 as customers, unaware of the incident, sat and ate.
According to police, the gun-wielding man was seen casing area businesses before robbing Chedi Thai Bistro at 737 Pearl St. near Eads Avenue around 9 p.m. He ran from the scene with stolen cash and remains at large.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Police described the suspect as black, in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds. He had short curly hair, and was wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, brown shorts and white shoes. — FOX 5
