PACIFIC BEACH — Firefighters poured water on a Buick Century in the middle of the 4600 block of Fanuel Street and 1300 block of Felspar Street in Pacific Beach after 2 p.m. Oct. 1. The vehicle was completely destroyed. The police and fire department had the streets blocked as the car blazed before extinguishing it. No injuries were reported. This was the second car fire that afternoon. Earlier, a car was totaled by a fire while in the eastbound lane of Garnet Avenue in the vicinity of Rose Creek Cottage at about 12:15 p.m. Oct. 1, slowing hectic lunchtime traffic.
