Taylor Lira Virissimo was named 2018 Miss Cabrillo Festival at the Portuguese Hall of Point Loma on Sunday, March 25. Virissimo, 17, who attends Our Lady of Peace Academy and is the daughter of Pete and Kathy Virissimo of Point Loma, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. As 2018 Miss Cabrillo Festival, Virissimo will reign over the Cabrillo Festival, which will take place Sept. 28 and 29 at the Naval Base Point Loma.
The 55th Miss Cabrillo Festival was sponsored by the Cabrillo Civic Club No. 16 and the Portuguese American Social and Civic Club of San Diego. For more information, visit cabrillofestival.org.
