DEVANY’S BAKERY began on Ingraham Street, where Marino’s Pizza is today, in 1946. It moved to Pacific Plaza at the east end of Vons in the 1960s, and ended up at 966 Felspar St., where it went out of business around 2000. I took this picture in September 1979. Isabel Cruz did some substantial remodeling when she opened her Cantina restaurant on the site in 2002. Yup, the antiques store next door is now Cafe 976.
