The Marlin Club’s 17th annual Spring Shootout Fishing Tournament was held May 25-26. The winning angler was Andrew Cates Jr., who reeled in a bluefin tuna that tipped the scales at 74.6 pounds. They were fishing with along with Robert Gerhardt and Bob Woodard aboard Woodard’s boat Drop Back. The next event is the annual Blackman Memorial Halibut Derby slated for June 15.
