Carved pumpkins are popping up everywhere as Halloween nears. But the thing that makes these jack o’ lanterns special is the fact that they were carved by divers — underwater! Ocean Enterprises’ 29th annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest took place Oct. 12 at La Jolla Shores, with proceeds from registration earmarked for breast cancer research.
