
Plenty of Easter weekend activities and celebrations are on tap in the Peninsula area. Here are some of them: • April 10-12, the Rock Church hosts a weekend of Easter celebrations and activities, beginning with a presentation of “The Passion of the Christ” at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10. An Easter service is planned for 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 with an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 11. The event will also include bounce houses, a clown, photos with the Easter Bunny, a magic show and more. The event concludes with a free concert featuring Rockola and a raffle at Ingram Plaza. The event takes place at the corner of Roscrans and Roosevelt streets. For more information, call (619) 531-1563. • Saturday, April 11, 10 a.m., the city of San Diego hosts the 35th annual Spring Egg Hunt at Robb Field in Ocean Beach, sponsored by the Robb Field Recreation Council. The event will feature a DJ, clowns, free fire truck rides, free popcorn and professional photographs for $4. For more information, call (619) 665-2104. • Sunday, April 12, 6:30 a.m., the Kiwanis Club of Point Loma hosts the 60th annual ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service at Cabrillo National Monument in the national park’s lower parking lot.
