MUST SEE The New Children’s Museum and Birch Aquarium will fuse art, science and trash in “Trash: Art + Science Intersect,” a free event at the aquarium on Feb. 6. Guests will have the opportunity look at trash from both a scientific and artistic vantage point — seeing garbage in a whole new way. The evening will kick off with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at 6 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. panel discussion with Nigella Hillgarth, the aquarium’s executive director, as well as Miriam Goldstein, chief scientist on the Scripps Environmental Accumulation of Plastic expedition and artist and co-founder of The Institute For Figuring Margaret Wertheim.
