Lifeguards are working a group ocean rescue in the La Jolla Cove area this afternoon, March 29, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. About a dozen people had to be helped out of the surf, a spokesman says.
There is no immediate word on injuries, although one person was transported to a hospital. A local television outlet learned that the group included a visiting swim club from Moreno Valley, in Riverside County. La Jolla Cove occupies a substantial portion of Coast Boulevard at the Village’s extreme western end. – 10 NEWS
