Donate books to Words Alive for World Book Day

Gifting is central to World Book Day’s history, and now folks in San Diego can join the tradition with Amazon by donating books to a local literacy nonprofit.
Here’s how people in San Diego can participate: Through Sunday, April 23 customers can purchase books in the San Diego bookstore (Westfield UTC) and have them donated to Words Alive – a local literacy nonprofit. Amazon is featuring the following five books for donation, which have been rated 4.5-plus stars and have a special price for all customers:
“Curious George: 75th Anniversary Edition” ($11);
“A Bear Called Paddington” ($7);
“Elephant & Piggie: A Big Guy Took My Ball” ($8);
“Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvelous Medicine” ($7);
“Madeline” board book ($7).
 These books will be displayed at the checkout counter and on a World Book Day feature near the front of the store.
In addition, representatives from Words Alive will select 100 books of their choice at the bookstore on World Book Day. This donation is on behalf of Amazon. Note: if you’re sharing on social, please use #LovetoRead. For more ways to celebrate World Book Day, visit www.amazon.com/worldbookday.
