Multiple generations enjoy a game of “Twister” during a special Grandparents Day event Sept. 10 at Classic Residence by Hyatt at La Jolla Village, 8515 Costa Verde Blvd. Nearly 200 seniors and their grandchildrenplayed games, sang songs and told stories. National Grandparents Day was founded by proclamation in 1978 by President Jimmy Carter, who decreed that it would be celebrated each year on the first Sunday after Labor Day.
