After a year’s absence, San Diego Dancing with the Stars is set for Saturday, Dec. 5, at the La Jolla Hilton in the main ballroom, from 6 to 10 p.m. The event benefits the Family Justice Center and police officers fallen in the line of duty. Come join Sheriff Bill Gore, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, Fire Chief Brian Fennessy, Jocko Marcellino (founding member of Sha Na Na), Jonathan Roberts, professional dancer from America’s “Dancing with the Stars” and Mary Murphy, the judge with the great laugh on “So You Think You Can Dance” and ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” There will also be local celebrities and a sumptuous dinner and silent and live auctions.
