Two people pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to robbing a Pacific Beach service station and to committing two other hold-ups elsewhere.
Both Shelley Lynn Petitt, 32, and Michael Beasley, 35, face a maximum sentence of five years in state prison, said Deputy District Attorney Daniel Shim.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Polly Shamoon set sentencing for Sept. 24. They both remain in jail on $300,000.
Shim said Petitt pulled an air soft gun at an employee at the Chevron station Food Mart on Garnet Avenue around 4 p.m. on July 29. They also pleaded guilty to robbing a clothing store in Otay Mesa.
They are both from out of state, having arrived in San Diego somewhat recently. A third robbery they both admitted to committing occurred July 23 in Barstow, said the prosecutor.
Two counts of attempted robbery at an Escondido store were dismissed. Victims said it was Petitt who produced the gun in all three incidents.
Shim said the weapon looked like a real handgun and Petitt struck one person with it. They were both arrested Aug. 1 at the Harrah’s Rincon Casino in Valley Center by San Diego Police.
