La Jolla Community Foundation, an affiliate of The San Diego Foundation, has announced its annual call for nonprofit grant applications. This year, the foundation invites nonprofit organizations and agencies to submit proposals that focus on La Jolla infrastructure enhancement and community beautification. Since 2014, the foundation has granted more than $61,000 to enhance and grow the community through its competitive grant cycle. It has invested more than $500,000 in special projects such as the Murals of La Jolla. Desirable projects will be sustainable as well as visible in the community. “The La Jolla Community Foundation is focused on building civic engagement and pride through local philanthropy,” said foundation grants chair Susan McClellan. “We look forward to enriching the environmental, social and cultural experience of La Jolla through this year’s grant cycle.” LJCF will distribute $40,000 in grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. Projects should be practical and achievable within a 12-month time frame and must adhere to the La Jolla Community Plan. Guidelines are available at sdfoundation.org/Grants.
