PACIFIC BEACH — Friends of Kate Sessions Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (FOKSPTO) is accepting donations of used Halloween costumes. The idea came from a similar fundraiser at a Point Loma-area school, but organizer Kathy Combs thought it was a good idea to bring to Kate Sessions Elementary. She recently discovered she had 14 costumes in her own closets at home to donate. FOKSPTO will be accepting infant, child, youth and adult costumes donations through Friday, Oct. 15. The costumes will then be sold to school children and their families. The sale will serve as a fundraiser for the organization, with all the money raised going directly into funding art, music and library programs at the school. Children’s costumes will cost $5 and adult costumes will cost $10. Donation times are 7:20 to 8 a.m. and 2 to 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Donation bins are located near the school entrance at the West Gate. However, the school office will also accept donations during the day, if the morning and afternoon drop-off times do not work for some.
