Saturday, May 24, 8 a.m. to noon, Point Loma Eastern Star #490 will join sister chapters in San Diego County for “Sensational Saturday,” the collection of nonperishable food items for local food banks and the collection of clothing and household goods for local domestic violence centers, along with care packages to send to military servicemen and women overseas. Tuesday, June 3, 6 to 8:30, the Social Studies Department of Point Loma High School hosts a banquet to honor student achievement in history. Through May, San Diego Watercolor Society (SDWS) hosts exhibit of original watercolor paintings entitled “Merrie Month of May.” Jurors are June Maxion and Kathy McChesney.
