College Area residents have the opportunity to participate in a citizen- and resident-led planning initiative for their neighborhoods.

The planning initiative will take place Monday, June 6, 7 to 9 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church (5075 Campanile Drive).

Unlike other recent public meetings where the planning department may tell you what they want for the College Area, this is your chance to wear the community planner hat.

After a brief review of the goals and context for the College Area community plan update, participants at Monday’s event will break into groups. That is where they will develop proposals on where to locate added housing, parks, businesses, and other social and commercial activity that will benefit all College Area residents.
