The Colts and Chargers try to bounce back when they play in San Diego in primetime on Sunday night, and the Giants try to grab a share of the NFC East when they host the Cowboys. Here’s a look at this week’s games. All times are Pacific.
Last week: 10-4
Season record: 84-46
Sunday, Nov. 11
Atlanta 2-6
at Carolina 4-4, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Panthers won 27-20 at Atlanta on Sept. 23.
Stats & Stuff: Warrick Dunn had his season-best average yards per carry in first meeting with Panthers at 5.0. Carolina was held to season-low 191 yards offensively in loss to Titans in Week 9.
Game Day: Panthers are banged up at quarterback but should have enough to hold on.
Pick: Panthers 19, Falcons 16
Minnesota 3-5
at Green Bay 7-1, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Packers won 23-16 at Minnesota on Sept. 30.
Stats & Stuff: Vikings’ Adrian Peterson has run for 200-plus yards twice this season ” an NFL rookie record. Brett Favre has passed for 300 yards or more in five of his last six games for Green Bay.
Game Day: Favre threw for 344 yards and two TDs in last meeting between the teams. If Peterson (112 yards rushing vs. Packers) can break free for one or two long runs, Vikings could make it interesting.
Pick: Packers 24, Vikings 20
Denver 3-5
at Kansas City 4-4, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Chiefs won 19-10 at home last November.
Stats & Stuff: Broncos 44-7 loss to Detroit was their most lopsided since 42-0 to New Orleans in 1988. Kansas City has allowed more than 20 points in just one game.
Game Day: If Larry Johnson’s sprained foot doesn’t allow him to play, Priest Holmes will get a shot at Denver’s last-ranked rush defense.
Pick: Chiefs 32, Broncos 23
Buffalo 4-4
at Miami 0-8, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Bills won 21-0 at home last December.
Stats & Stuff: Buffalo has won five of the last six meetings versus the Dolphins. Miami is tied for worst turnover differential at minus-8.
Game Day: Marshawn Lynch racked up a career-high 153 yards rushing in Week 9. Another good game and Buffalo gets fourth straight win.
Pick: Bills 24, Dolphins 14
St. Louis 0-8
at New Orleans 4-4, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Rams won 28-17 at home in 2005.
Stats & Stuff: St. Louis is 29th in NFL offense, 19th on defense. Saints have won four in a row after 0-4 start.
Game Day: Everything’s clicking offensively for New Orleans, which looks to get above .500 mark for the first time this season.
Pick: Saints 31, Rams 15
Cleveland 5-3
at Pittsburgh 6-2, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Steelers won 34-7 at Cleveland on Sept. 9.
Stats & Stuff: Browns have won three straight games for the first time since 2001. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw a career-high five TD passes in Monday night’s win over Ravens.
Game Day: Roethlisberger, who set his first career-high for TD passes on opening day with four against Cleveland, is on top of his game.
Pick: Steelers 37, Browns 27
Jacksonville 5-3
at Tennessee 6-2, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Titans won 13-10 at Jacksonville on Sept. 9.
Stats & Stuff: Jaguars’ 41 points allowed in Week 9 were most since 38 by Buffalo in 2003. Tennessee’s seven sacks vs. Panthers were most since 2005.
Game Day: Jacksonville has to come up with a plan to keep Titans from running all over them again (282 yards rushing vs. Jaguars in season opener).
Pick: Titans 20, Jaguars 14
Philadelphia 3-5
at Washington 5-3, 10 a.m.
Last Meeting: Redskins won 20-12 at Philadelphia on Sept. 17.
Stats & Stuff: Eagles won nine of last 11 meetings before this season’s opener. Clinton Portis ran for season-high 196 yards in Washington’s win over Jets.
Game Day: A good mix of run and pass led Redskins to victory the first time the teams played.
Pick: Redskins 24, Eagles 17
Cincinnati 2-6
at Baltimore 4-4, 1:05 p.m.
Last Meeting: Bengals won 27-20 at home on Sept. 10.
Stats & Stuff: Cincinnati’s T.J. Houshmandzaheh has TD catch in eight consecutive games. Ravens’ offense has scored just nine touchdowns in eight games.
Game Day: Cincinnati has gone in wrong direction since opening win while Ravens have struggled the past two weeks. Getting back home should help Baltimore, where it’s 3-0.
Pick: Ravens 17, Bengals 14
Detroit 6-2
at Arizona 3-5, 1:15 p.m.
Last Meeting: Cardinals won 17-10 at home in 2006.
Stats & Stuff: Lions are 6-2 for first time since 1999, the last season they made the playoffs. Arizona had season-low 195 offensive yards in Week 9.
Game Day: Detroit has lost the last four games it has played in Arizona and could be in for a letdown.
Pick: Cardinals 20, Lions 19
Dallas 7-1
at N.Y. Giants 6-2, 1:15 p.m.
Last Meeting: Cowboys won 45-35 at home on Sept. 9.
Stats & Stuff: Dallas QB Tony Romo has 19 TD passes, 10 INTs. Giants QB Eli Manning has 13 TD passes, 9 INTs.
Game Day: In the season opener, Dallas scored 28 points in the second half, with two TDs coming on passes to Terrell Owens. Giants need to shut down the Romo to Owens connection to get a share of first place in the NFC East.
Pick: Giants 34, Cowboys 31
Chicago 3-5
at Oakland 2-6, 1:15 p.m.
Last Meeting: Bears won 24-21 at home in 2003.
Stats & Stuff: Chicago is 31st in league rushing at 78.9 yards per game. Raiders have averaged 10 points per game in last four.
Game Day: After a week off, Chicago is ready to take out its frustrations, but Raiders’ fourth-ranked pass defense might pressure Brian Griese if Bears can’t get running game going.
Pick: Bears 27, Raiders 15
Indianapolis 7-1
at San Diego 4-4, 5:15 p.m.
Last Meeting: Chargers won 26-17 at Indianapolis in 2005.
Stats & Stuff: Colts had 12-game unbeaten streak dating back to last season snapped by Patriots. Chargers’ QB Philip Rivers had a season-low 45.2 completion percentage in loss to Minnesota.
Game Day: Both teams are coming off tough losses. Colts remember game two years ago, when Chargers ended their dream of a perfect season after 13 straight wins.
Pick: Colts 23, Chargers 20
Monday, Nov. 12
San Francisco 2-6
at Seattle 4-4, 5:30 p.m.
Last Meeting: Seahawks won 23-3 at San Francisco on Sept. 30.
Stats & Stuff: 49ers have lost six straight. Seattle’s Shaun Alexander has 492 rushing yards, his lowest total through eight games since 2002.
Game Day: Seattle outgained 49ers 371-184 in last meeting. San Francisco needs a better performance in passing game if it is to snap losing streak.
Pick: Seahawks 27, 49ers 10
Bye week: Houston, New England, N.Y. Jets, Tampa Bay.
