Chantelle Hartman Malarkey is an influencer in San Diego. An influencer is a personality with a large number of followers who has the power to influence the opinion and purchase behaviors of others. Currently, she has 125K on her Instagram.
All her social media reflects her love for fashion, beauty, travel, food, and family. Malarkey originally went to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design for a degree in film and photography. As a photographer, she coordinated photo shoots, freelanced weddings, and was an assistant for a studio photographer on her journey to becoming a “style maker.” What made her stand above the rest was always being authentic, and creative, and sharing connections with what she loved the most.
As a celebrity spouse, her main duties begin with her husband and three children. You may recognize the name Malarkey, as her husband, Brian Malarkey, is a celebrated chef.
I asked Malarkey what a day in the ‘Life of Chantelle’ is like. She picks up the clothes and accessories, decides on the location, takes the pictures, creates the social media, and writes a blog. Having a wonderful PR team and social media person helps her juggle all these jobs. She especially likes using unique stores and loves the mom-and-pop shops, which support local businesses here.
For new ideas, Malarkey looks for inspiration by flipping through print magazines, looking through Pinterest and Instagram, going to the gym, going on a retreat, and traveling to new locations. Sometimes, just change your perspective by taking a walk and looking at architecture in homes. This all brightens your day and helps create a positive state of mind.
Looking at what lies ahead, she wants to start a product line with either fashion, wellness, or beauty. Stay tuned for this in the future. She also to wants to build a platform to be a safe space for women of all ages and give them the inspiration to do things they dreamed of and more.
Currently, she is on the LTK App (Like to Know.it), which was formerly called rewardStyle. It is the largest influencer marketing platform. All the products are styled by real people. Malarkey shows off her skill as an amazing stylist.
On Feb. 27, Malarkey had a women’s brunch at Cody’s La Jolla. March is dedicated to women and their mark in history. She said having all these incredible women by her was an honor.
