Car company continues luxury lines with yachts

For those with a refined sense of style, San Diego Prestige, 5605 La Jolla Blvd., has upped the ante with a whole new line of luxury transportation, including exotic cars, yachts and helicopters that are available through a timeshare retail program.
“We initially opened our doors with exotic lines, and then this year we decided to expand it to extend our offerings,” said Krystal Ondler, public relations and marketing director for Prestige. “We are two months into it and we are keeping user time-share to a limed number of people so that they can feel like a VIP.”
Prestige’s new offerings include the 560 model Express Cruisers Yacht, including a 2007 model that extends 56 feet and affords the opportunity to cruise the beautiful bays of San Diego, taking advantage of the year-round good weather. The price tag to purchase a 560 is a cool $1.45 million, but the charter price is between $450 and $800 per hour.
“Since the summer is peak time of boating season, we thought that this was the ideal time to launch a new recreational program, we are trying to make this available to a wide range of people, corporations, locals and tourists alike,” Ondler said.
For those who want to indulge in chartering the yacht, they will bathed in luxury featuring a captain and first mate, and gas, docking and cleaning fees, all aboard a two-bedroom, two-bath ship which can hold up to 12 people and includes a home theater with surround sound, Dish Network and a full kitchen and living room.
“It is a great opportunity for people to take advantage of, to host parties, tailgates, weddings or cater to corporate meetings,” Ondler said. “As of now, we would eventually like to expand to a larger size yacht to accommodate more people.”
Renters will be available to charter the yacht or use the innovative point system, which is a unique timeshare type of membership.
