California Closet to open new La Jolla showroom — California Closets, the leader in custom home storage solutions and an authority in design, is opening a new 1,375-square-foot showroom and design center showroom at 7603 Girard Ave. in September.
The new center will feature unique storage solutions to include closets, pantries, media centers and home offices. The showroom will showcase innovative designs and new materials, including Italian Tesoro finishes inspired by fashion, and high-gloss acrylic panels.
“We are especially excited to join REBA (Real Estate Brokers Association) and connect ourselves with the La Jolla real estate community,” said Gary and Jeane Perantoni, design consultants and business development directors for California Closets.
The Perantonis said bringing in an expert designer from California Closets adds credibility and authenticity to the sale, introducing the client to an internationally trusted brand and expert in home organizing and storage systems.
“A relationship with us assists brokers and agents in preparing a home to sell more quickly by adding additional value, and for buyers, expanding their vision of their new home; seeing first-hand how the new space can work most effectively for them,” the Perantonis said.
The showroom hours will be Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays by appointment only. Complimentary design consultations are available by calling (858) 695-0882 or by visiting www.californiaclosets.com

Founded by La Jolla resident Daniel Gamez, the firm provides legal services to individuals and businesses with both minor and significant debt issues, with a focus on small-business, credit card, second mortgage, medical and personal student loan debt settlements.
“Many San Diegans are currently facing financial hardship as a result of complex and excessive unsecured debt,” said Gamez, who has worked exclusively in the consumer debt arena for nearly eight years. “What makes us different is that we work to provide an alternative to bankruptcy for our clients through negotiated debt settlement, which is often the most efficient and cost-effective solution for eliminating unsecured debt.”
Gamez has spent the majority of his career representing some of the country’s largest financial institutions, including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Wells Fargo, and GMAC Mortgage as a creditor defense litigator. Working on the other side of the system has afforded him insights that allow him to effectively negotiate with creditors. “We understand that our clients are real people with real problems … Our top priority is helping our clients get their lives back, a life free of debt,” Gamez said.
