SHELTER ISLAND — Heiva USA will share culture, education and friendship at a beauty pageant and gala put on by the by Friends of Tahiti, Le Polynesia of Orange County and Heali’i’s Polynesian Revue on Friday, Aug 13 and Saturday, Aug 14. The event will be held the Bali Hai Restaurant, 2230 Shelter Island Drive. Friday’s events will include the first ever Heiva USA Beauty Pageant, which will begin at 11 a.m. Following the pageant will be the gala and dinner event at 5 p.m. There will be a raffle, auction prizes, a fashion show and Tahitian Dancers in addition to the meal.
