San Diego Coastkeeper has partnered with Iconic Industry Inc. to hold a beach cleanup at Pacific Beach’s Crystal Pier 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 30. This effort is part of the company’s efforts to give back to one of their favorite places to live and work and inspire other companies to do more good. In 2016, 6,568 volunteers removed 187,231 items of trash weighing 9,502 pounds total, but San Diego beaches still need attention to keep aquatic playgrounds fishable and swimmable.
