In celebration of the 50-and-counting crowd, the San Diego Public Library System will host a free Senior Fair at the Pacific Beach/Taylor Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Informative sessions include one conducted by local “Money Matters” host George Chamberlin, who will explain how to outwit scam artists who prey on seniors. Other topics include tech talk for beginners — including demonstrations on downloading e-Books to an e-Reader; tai chi and zumba gold classes; free health screenings at the AARP/Walgreen’s mobile clinic; and other activities. There will be door prizes, free refreshments with music on the plaza by the Third Season Jazz Ensemble and popular local songstress Tracy Benson.
