Torrey Pines Kiwanis will celebrate the 29th annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts, which sponsors programs that support disabled San Diegans, with a kick-off party at Bird’s Surf Shed, 1091 W. Morena Blvd., on Thursday, May 28. The party will give guests an opportunity to contribute to the client charities through a live auction and pledges. The auction will feature items from Honorary Ambassadors, Aaron Chang Photography and Tim Bessell Surfboards, a swag bag from San Diego Magazine and more. All proceeds benefit the disability programs. Party cuisine is courtesy MIHO Gastrotruck, with the live entertainment featuring DJ Daniel Peterson. The festival will be held Sunday, June 28.
