Artists show, sell work to benefit Wisteria Cottage
Collage and watercolor cards, three-dimensional blown glass and bowls, platters and other containers fashioned from local wood will be for sale at La Jolla Historical Society’s Wisteria Cottage on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is a fund-raiser to help the Historical Society meet its goal of renovating Wisteria Cottage, and money from all items sold will go toward the project.
Items at the sale were handcrafted by artists from San Diego, and will also include purses, glass-bead jewelry, pottery and paintings.

Barney brings his cuddly show to town
Barney the purple dinosaur will visit ipayOne Center will all his friends in tow on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19. “Barney LIVE! The Let’s Go Tour” will feature Barney, BJ, Baby Bop and newest friend Riff on a musical adventure to a toy factory as they meet dancing teddy bears, out-of-this-world robots, larger-than-life toys and more.
The show features 25 songs, including original compositions and classic Barney favorites. This family-friendly event invites the audience to sing and dance along.
