Fitness studio Armone’s Core Connection is celebrating its one-year anniversary at its location on 7438 Girard Ave. with food catered by Puesto, cocktails, raffle prizes and DJ Vilotti spinning beats from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 17. Since Armone Sullivan — cyclist, traditionally trained ballet and jazz dancer, fitness guru and certified master Pilates instructor — launched her studio last fall, the place has taken off with area residents attending a wide range of Pilates, spin and kickboxing classes, personal training sessions, and massage therapy appointments to keep their body and minds in top shape. Sullivan also offers a six-month intensive Pilates certification program for instructors to learn her one-of-a-kind Pilates brand, which fuses East and West Coast methodologies. “This has always been my dream to have a full-service studio because I feel that you need to have all the components — the cardio, the isometric work,” she said. “We’re very results driven here. I don’t do any paid advertising. All of my business is by referral. My clients look great, they feel great and they go out there and tell others.” The public is welcome to stop by Armone’s to join in the studio’s one-year anniversary celebration.
