POINT LOMA — Police investigators are probing the armed robbery of a Midway District liquor store on Aug. 24. The robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. at Fuller’s Keg Beer Liquor Deli, located at 3896 Rosecrans St. The suspect, described by witnesses as a 6-foot black male in his mid-20s, reportedly produced a handgun and demanded cash from the store clerk. No customers were present at the time of the robbery, according to Det. Mark Haas with the Robbery Unit of the San Diego Police Department. The suspect apparently fled on foot with cash and cigarettes. At the time of the robbery he was described as wearing gray pants, a dark shirt and a gray hoodie. The suspect was last seen on Jefferson Street in Point Loma. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to call (619) 531-2000.
