?A carjacking was reported at the Ebers and Voltaire Streets intersection Monday, Nov. 20, at 11:07 p.m.
Three black female juveniles, one black male juvenile and one black male adult reportedly drove into Ocean Beach in a stolen vehicle, which broke down at Nimitz and Sunset Cliffs boulevards.
The suspects walked to the area of 4694 West Point Loma Blvd., where they approached three women getting into their vehicle. The adult suspect put a gun to the driver’s head and demanded the vehicle.
One of the juvenile suspects confronted the passenger, ordering her from the vehicle and demanding her purse.
All five suspects fled with the victim’s 4-door Honda and went to a liquor store at Abbott and Voltaire streets. The driver went inside, looked around and left. The suspects left the liquor store and drove eastbound on Voltaire with the vehicle’s lights out. Officer Eric Seiter saw the vehicle and a chase ensued.
The suspect crashed the vehicle into a fence at Catalina Boulevard and Voltaire Street. The driver – described as a black male, 18 years old, 5’11″ tall with a thin build – fled on foot.
The remaining occupants were taken into custody. The 15-year-old male juvenile suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall for carjacking, while the remaining three female juveniles, all 14 years old, were released to their parents.
