The holiday shopping season officially kicks off Friday and music fans will have reasons beyond a great selection of gifts to visit University Town Center, at 4545 La Jolla Village Drive, Thanksgiving weekend. Across all three days, the mall will offer up a selection of the area’s top singer-songwriters as a refreshing reprieve from what can often be a hectic time. On Nov. 25, UTC’s Palm Plaza will host Mike Officer (9 a.m.), Raelee Nikole (11:30 a.m.), and Mike Myrdal (2 p.m.). On Nov. 26 they will feature Jasmine Commerce (noon) and Nov. 27 Marcela Mendez (noon). You can expect a wide range of holiday themed tunes, but the folks at UTC have done a wonderful job of curating this show, with each performer a a gifted songwriter and local headliner in their own right.
