That was international couple Lee Clark and Jerry Pikolysky slope side front row at the Inn at Aspen… premiere viewing for the recent X Games Aspen at Buttermilk. Half pipe winner went to a young athlete phenom Gaon Choi from South Korea – 14 years old, how cool is that?
Meanwhile Lee and Jerry’s good friend Sir Max Gurney was honored high atop another mountain – Mt. Soledad National Veteran’s Memorial. Nearly 102-years old, Sir Max is now officially recognized for his multi-lingual intelligence work during WWII. Bravo! By the way all three, Lee, Jerry, and Sir Max have a mutual royal friend…. HRH Prince Albert of Monaco!
And ‘When in Rome’ was the theme for this year’s San Diego Opera gala at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. With a pivot to opera for all, the San Diego Opera has excelled.
Oh, and a little flashback on presidential contender Bobby F. Kennedy Jr. A strong environmentalist leader, Bobby was the guest speaker for a San Diego Baykeepers event in the 1990s held at the home of Congressman Scott Peters and wife Lynn Gorguze. Listening to Kennedy Jr. speak it was easy to be impressed by that Kennedy magic. By the way, the San Diego Baykeepers name was changed years back to the San Diego Coastkeepers.
